Have you ever felt like you don’t belong or are not as good as other people on your management team?
This often results in people thinking that they are a ‘fraud’ and don’t deserve to be in their job!? These feelings are called imposter syndrome and it has been identified as something that regularly holds women back in leadership roles especially in the earlier part of their leadership career. (70% of all people will encounter imposter syndrome at some stage of their life)
Join us at the first event in our new “Empowering Women in Leadership Series” – where Captain Deirdre Carbery of The Irish Defence Forces, Miriam Walker, Head of Retail & Wholesales at Glanbia, and Sheila Dowling, Sales Director of Bewley’s will be sharing insights and personal experiences and suggested actions to face and overcome Imposter Syndrome in the working environment.
Who should attend: Both men and women in the earlier stages of their management / leadership career. Senior managers of both gender who have newly appointed managers reporting into you and who want to get a better understanding of imposter syndrome so as to support your direct reports.
Please note Attendance is subject to the Empowering Women in Leadership Series being part of your membership package and seat allocation associated with membership being available. Please check at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are unsure if your membership qualifies you to attend.
